Joel Fitzgerald Surfboards are shaped from a lifetime immersed in surf culture and craftsmanship. Raised on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Joel is the son of Terry Fitzgerald (founder of Hot Buttered Surfboards), and has developed his shaping foundations in the HB shaping bay during his early years—learning his craft from some of the surfing's master shapers.

Respected globally as a surfer shaper, Joel is known for his refined and artisan approach to surfboard design. Drawing on decades of experience as both a professional surfer and shaper, Joel's boards reflect a deep understanding of wave-riding and a commitment to craftsmanship.
